Professionals working in the medical field are tired of not having the resources they need for their patients under our current commercialized insurance system. Join us on January 7th from 6pm-8pm at Steeplejack to hear about their current struggle to take care of patients and why they believe universal healthcare is the path forward. Because what is good for patients is good for all healthcare professionals.
We have an amazing line up of speakers ready to present:
Kaleigh Rohl (she/her), Providence Portland Nurse and ONA Member who participated in the Providence strike in January of this year. She discusses how Providence threatened several times to remove health benefits from striking workers and how that played a role in our strike
Blaire Glennon (she/her), Legacy Nurse and ONA Member who believes nurses can achieve change through advocacy and patients knowing their rights.
Ernie Johnston (they/them), LCSW, CADCIII who works with our most vulnerable populations in intensive therapy. They are a strong advocate within HCAO and volunteer in many capacities throughout the organization including teaching 101.
Antonio Germann (he/him), MD, VP of HCAO who is disillusioned with our current healthcare system and knows universal healthcare is the path forward. He speaks about how he strongly our current healthcare system is fragmented and why he believes healthcare is a human right.
We are excited to see you all there for this very special night. Suggest donation of $10 for this event so we can continue to grow our team and make sure we win this historic fight by 2028!
